The Materials Behind
Every Lasting Deck

We work exclusively with materials we're certified to install and stand behind. Here's what that means for your project.

Authorized Dealer

Tanzite StoneDecks

Tanzite is an engineered quartz stone decking system — made using intense heat and pressure, like man-made diamonds. This process delivers a perfect stone in the perfect color, without the flaws or cost of natural quarried stone. The result is a deck surface that can't scratch, won't fade, and doesn't stain — guaranteed for life.

Tanzite offers two distinct collections for different applications: the Appalachian Collection (a rain-through system installed like composite decking with hidden fasteners) and the Rainier Collection (a free-floating waterproof tile system that works on decks, rooftops, concrete, and indoors). As an Authorized Tanzite Dealer, we supply and install both.

Tanzite Appalachian Collection — Driftwood deck with fall foliage backdrop

Appalachian Collection

Rain-Through Decking Solution

Built over a new or existing deck frame (wood or metal) using hidden fasteners — just like composite decking. Ideal for elevated decks, docks, stairs, and ground-level installations. Rain passes through the boards to the structure below.

Colors: Aged Teak, American Walnut, Driftwood, White Ash, Silver Maple
Best for: Elevated decks, docks, stairs, existing deck replacements

Rainier Collection

Flooring & Waterproof Decking Solution

Free-floating tiles installed over a subfloor using an innovative EPDM rubber gasket system — no concrete, mortar, or grout required. Creates a fully waterproof deck surface. Works indoors and outdoors, on decks, rooftops, concrete, and stairs.

Colors: Aged Teak, American Walnut, Canyon Brown, Carrara Marble, Driftwood, Sierra Grey, Slate Black, Travertine
Best for: Rooftop patios, indoor/outdoor flooring, concrete overlays, waterproof deck surfaces

Advantages

  • Scratch-proof — shovels and salt cannot damage the surface
  • Fade-free for life — engineered stone color is permanent
  • Waterproof — mold and mildew cannot penetrate the surface
  • Stays cool in the sun, unlike composite or vinyl decking
  • Stain-proof — including red wine and BBQ grease
  • Easy to clean — pressure washing safe
  • Covers any existing deck or concrete surface
  • Lifetime warranty backed by Tanzite
  • Two collections: Appalachian (rain-through) and Rainier (waterproof)
  • Can add creative inlay designs, including curves
  • Easy to repair — individual tiles can be replaced
  • Environmentally sustainable — the most eco-friendly decking available

Considerations

  • Higher material cost than wood, composite, or vinyl decking
  • Requires a proper deck frame structure (wood or metal)
  • Rainier Collection requires a subfloor and waterproof membrane
  • Limited to Tanzite's available color palettes per collection
  • Professional installation recommended for best results
  • Appalachian Collection is rain-through, not fully waterproof
Resin Rock resin-bound surface
Approved Installer

Resin Rock

Resin Rock is a resin-bound permeable stone surfacing system — the #1 distributor in North America. Natural aggregate is blended with a UV-stable resin binder and troweled over a prepared substrate, creating a seamless, grout-free stone carpet surface that water drains through naturally.

With 30+ color options and the ability to cover existing concrete, cracks, and drains, Resin Rock is ideal for driveways, patios, pool surrounds, and pathways. The surface is slip-resistant even in wet or frosty conditions, and can hold up to 30,000 lbs.

As an approved Resin Rock installer, we handle substrate preparation, aggregate selection, mixing with a forced-action mixer, and application — ensuring a proper bond and a finish that meets manufacturer standards.

Advantages

  • Fully permeable — water drains through, reducing runoff
  • Seamless, grout-free finish — no weeds, no moss
  • 30+ color options with endless aggregate blend possibilities
  • Can hold up to 30,000 lbs — suitable for driveways and heavy use
  • UV-stable binder — colors won't fade in direct sunlight
  • Slip-resistant surface even in wet or frosty conditions
  • Covers cracks and drains — bonds over existing surfaces
  • Low maintenance — sweep and rinse to clean
  • Cost-effective compared to natural stone or pavers
  • Decorative aggregate blends create a unique stone carpet look
  • Suitable for driveways, patios, pool surrounds, and pathways

Considerations

  • Synthetic resin binder — not a natural stone product
  • Requires a forced-action mixer for proper installation
  • Professional application required for correct bonding
  • Surface can show wear in extremely high-traffic zones over time
  • Color matching for repairs requires careful batch management
  • Not a floating tile system — surface prep is critical

Certified Installer

Duradek Waterproofing

Duradek is the industry standard for waterproof vinyl deck membranes — essential for any elevated deck or deck built over living space. As a Certified Duradek Installer, we apply the membrane to manufacturer specifications, which activates the manufacturer-backed warranty. A non-certified installer can apply the product, but the warranty won't be valid.

Planika Fireplaces

Planika produces architecturally refined linear gas and bioethanol fireplaces. As a Certified Planika Dealer, we supply and install these systems integrated directly into stone deck surrounds and facade walls. The result is a seamless fire-feature installation that looks designed by an architect — because it was.

Linear gas & bioethanol · Integrated stone surrounds · Outdoor-rated systems

Four Systems,
One Standard of Excellence

Every railing system we offer is designed, fabricated, and installed in-house. No outsourcing, no markup on third-party shops.

Glass railing with mountain view

"The view is the design. The railing should disappear."

Maximum view, minimal profile

Cable Railing

Stainless steel cable railing systems deliver the cleanest sightlines of any railing type. The horizontal cables virtually disappear against a mountain backdrop, making them the go-to choice for Utah properties with views worth preserving. We fabricate and install the posts, top rail, and tensioned cable runs in-house.

Technical Specifications

Material316 stainless steel cable, powder-coated steel or aluminum posts
Code StandardIRC R312 — 36" min residential, 42" commercial
Cable Diameter1/8" or 3/16" stainless wire rope
MaintenanceAnnual tension check, periodic cleaning

Advantages

  • Unobstructed panoramic views through horizontal cable runs
  • Stainless steel resists corrosion, rust, and UV degradation
  • Sleek, modern aesthetic that complements stone and glass
  • Lower wind resistance than solid panel systems
  • In-house fabrication allows custom post spacing and heights
  • Code-compliant cable tension maintained over time
  • Pairs naturally with Tanzite Stone deck surfaces

Considerations

  • Horizontal cables can act as a ladder — not ideal for homes with young children
  • Cable tension requires periodic inspection and adjustment
  • Not recommended for very windy exposed sites without windscreen
  • Post spacing limitations based on cable span engineering
  • Higher maintenance than glass in dusty environments

What Utah Homeowners
Are Saying

"We had a complex elevated deck project with a Planika fireplace, cable railing, and Tanzite Stone — all on a hillside lot that required serious structural engineering. They handled every piece of it, pulled all the permits, and the finished product is better than anything we imagined. Worth every dollar."
Michael & Sarah T.
Salt Lake City, UT · Elevated Stone Deck with Planika Fireplace
"I've worked with a lot of contractors over the years and the difference here is the civil engineering background. They designed the footing properly, explained every structural decision, and the stone deck has been perfect through two Utah winters. No settling, no cracking, no issues."
David R.
Draper, UT · Tanzite Stone Patio & Glass Railing
"The custom metal fabrication work they did for our railing system is unlike anything I've seen from other contractors. It was designed specifically for our property, fabricated in their shop, and installed in one day. The attention to detail is exceptional — you can tell this is a team that takes real pride in their craft."
